The Pool Bronze Medallion is run by Royal Life Saving and is a two-day course (fourteen contact hours) whereas the Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion is run over a six-day period and amounts to at least forty contact hours. Whilst the names are similar the course content is quite different, you will require a Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion unless you are applying for a pool position.
Pay rates are determined on roles, responsibilities and experience. You will be assigned a pay rate based on those factors.
